Tickets to "Copa América" 2015

Hi everyone! Today, I’m going to talk about an amazing pressie: Tickets to “Copa América” 2015.  I was in my house and my boyfriend called me and said: “Antonia, you must get ready now, because today in three hours we will watch the Copa América in the stadium”. I was surprised. I couldn’t believe it! I was shocked and I was sooooo happy!  He bought the tickets in the supermarket hahaha because a worker of the supermarket won the tickets in a competition, but he couldn’t go to the game and when my boyfriend went to buy food, the worker offered the tickets to him. That afternoon, 11th June, we went to the Copa Américas’s opening, the first game with Ecuador. I remember when the opening started: there were fireworks, a dance show and hot-air balloons. After the start, we enjoyed the game; also Chile won 2-0. I enjoyed being able to see Arturo Vidal and Eduardo Vargas (they are amazing football players!). A bad thing was the xenophobia expressed in the songs, in spite of the campaign against xenophobia. Also, I think that for the price of the tickets, the football atmosphere was not good, because the people didn’t encourage the players to win.

With this pressie I was indescribably excited! I like football, so I think that it was a very good pressie!

My friend Matias

Hi everyone! Today, I'm going to talk about my friend Matias. I met Matias in 2013, because he is my classmate at University. Also, Matias is a member of the Socialist Party and his party and my party are allies. I don't remember how we met but -according to Matias- we met when I gave him a pamphlet. In our first year studying sociology Matias was traveling a lot, because he is from Temuco, so I didn't see very often. In our second year, we became more friends.

We have various things in common: this subject haha, some friends, we are students of sociology, we are members of a party, we like Silvio Rodriguez, the argentine music and the chilean music ("Guachupe" and "La Combo Tortuga" <3 ), we enjoy drink beer while talking and we enjoy eating fast food.

I meet with Matias very often, because we are classmates and we share some activities. Also, on wekeends we are going to party.

I have a lot of memories with Matias! He is my friend because is a leftist, faithful, generous and he supports me. I think that he is a very good person and a great musician. I hope we will be friends for a long time :)

The Chilean Communist Party's Centenary

In 2012, The Chilean Communist Party turned one hundred years. For that reason, the Party made a concert in the National Stadium. I remember when I was there, with hundreds of persons. I went with my partners, memberships of the Quinta Normal's Communist Party. The concert started with the National Anthem, and then in a big screen the people could see many pictures about "2011" and other moments and disputes. We were waiting to see Silvio Rodríguez, the first act of the night and when he sang... that moment was magic. Silvio sang a lot of beautiful songs, for example, "Carta a Violeta Parra".

Then, I saw Inti-Illimani, Juana Fe, Chinoy, Manuel García, Illapu, and other chilean groups. Also, the people danced cueca and “Tío Valentín” played the piano.

I remember that day with a lot of love, because it was a move day, with many feelings and comradeship. The culture and the dreams were here. For a moment, in a mystic moment, the people was thinking that other world was possible. Also, I could remember the history of my party, the fight of my partners for a more equal world and I could pay tribute to persons that I admire as Gladys Marín.

That day was a stroke of energy for me.

Buenos Aires - Argentina

I would like to visit Argentina, especially Buenos Aires.
Last year, I had the opportunity to visit Buenos Aires and it was a great experience. I think that is one of my favorite places in the world!
I could meet the cafe “London City”, the cafe where Julio Cortazar wrote the novel “Los Premios”. Also, I could meet the Latin American Art Museum of Buenos Aires; the “Casa Rosada”, office of the President of Argentina; the stadium La Bombonera and The Passion of Boca Juniors Museum. The bookstores are amazing! The argentine people have a big cultural background and I made many friends.
I would like to come back to this city, because I couldn’t meet a lot of places, for example, I couldn’t see a show in the Teatro Colon, the main opera house in Buenos Aires. I think Buenos Aires is the perfect place to eat delicious food… you can find the best pizza, pasta and –obviously- steak.
