In the winter holidays of 2014, with my cousins I traveled
to New York City in United States, for ten days. An exiled partner invited me and I only paid my
ticket. It was so good, because NYC is very expensive, especially the places to
stay.
I was in
Wall Street, the "financial district". I went to the East River,
because if you sail on the East River you can see the Statue of Liberty. In
Wall Street, I could see the huge buildings. But honestly, I went to Wall
Street because is the place where you take the ship to see the Statue of
Liberty. I could see the
Brooklyn Bridge. Also, I went to Central Park and there I visited the John
Lennon’s memorial. I visited “Madame
Tussauds” Museum (museum of wax), and I took photos of myself with a lot of
famous people (For example, with Janis Joplin haha). I enjoyed enormously the
food when I visited the “Little Italy” and I bought many souvenirs in “Chinatown”.
I bought cheaper clothes at the outlets.
Those holidays
were so good. I could know an important part of the country through
the perspectives of sudamerican, indian and american people. I learnt that the country doesn't guarantee
minimum social rights so, I could confirm that the economic and social model is
bad, because is so unequal.
Also, in those
holidays I learnt how to dance Merengue!
I recommend
this place, because is very enjoyable: You can eat delicious food of different
countries and enjoy the night.
This Photograph was taken in Central Park.
